Traveling from Finland to abroad

We still recommend avoiding unnecessary travel abroad.

If you are planning a trip abroad, please note that some countries may restrict entry. Check the current entry and quarantine regulations before traveling to your destination.

More information on traveling during the pandemic can be found on The Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare’s website. Compiled information on entry restrictions in European Union countries is available on the Re-open EU website.

Countries may require the traveler to provide proof of a coved-19 vaccination, a negative test result, or having previously had coronavirus. Before traveling, the passenger must find out for himself whether their certificate is a valid document when crossing the border of the country of destination. Persons of Finnish nationality or persons permanently residing in Finland can obtain the EU Covid-19 certificate.
