How to get treatment

If you need treatment, call your health centre, or the Medical Helpline in urgent matters. You will receive more information on what to do next by phone.

Treatment locations

Patients who have various symptoms of infection but do not experience shortness of breath or other severe symptoms are treated at reception points for infections. Patients experiencing shortness of breath or other severe symptoms are referred to the accident and emergency unit.

You do not need to know whether your symptoms require treatment at a health centre, a special reception point for infections or an accident and emergency unit. You will receive information about the place of treatment when reserving a time. See the locations of the entrances in the maps below.

South Kymenlaakso

The Kymenlaakso Central Hospital Infectious Diseases Clinic is located in the former accident and emergency unit facilities. Access to the reception point is via the stairs adjacent to the former ambulance ramp.

Emergency Clinic for Infectious Diseases is located in the new hospital facilities of Kymenlaakso Central Hospital.

North Kymenlaakso

Access to the Infectious Diseases Clinic at Marjoniemi health centre is via the door to the former accident and emergency unit facilities.

Daytime (10 pm – 8 am) of the emergency clinic for infectious diseases, heated container in the yard: People with symptoms of infection and other patients are referred to separate waiting areas.

Night hours (10 pm – 8 am) of the emergency clinic for infectious diseases, accident and emergency unit entrance: At the entrance to the emergency room, patients with symptoms of infection are referred to the emergency clinic for infectious diseases.
