Coronavirus test

It is advisable to undergo a coronavirus test even when experiencing only mild symptoms. Coronavirus tests are always available by appointment only. When booking an appointment, you will be directed to the correct sampling point.

Coronavirus test appointments

Assess your symptoms of the coronavirus using the Omaolo.fi online service or the Coronabot online service. The services provides instructions on undergoing the coronavirus test. Both of the online services can be used by people over the age of 16 who have access to strong authentication (bank ID or mobile certificate). The online services can be used on behalf of a child (in Omaolo for a child under 15 years old and Coronabot for a child under 16 years old).

When you have booked an appointment for a coronavirus test, please be present at the arranged time.

Kouvola

Marjoniemi health centre (Marjoniementie 10, 45100 Kouvola). The entrance is through the A block door of Marjoniemi health centre at the right end of the building. The entrance is through the lower parking area. The sample can also be taken on a drive-in basis.

Coronavirus test results

Enquiries about coronavirus test results should not be made to the Medical Helpline or the accident and emergency unit. Covid-19 sample response times vary.

Please bear in mind that persons who have undergone a coronavirus test must stay at home until they get a negative result from the test.

Getting the test results:

  1. Negative test results are reported by text message. Text messages are also sent in the evenings and at weekends. The message includes a link through which the message is readable in English and some other languages.
  2. Positive test results are reported by telephone call in addition to a text message notification, and instructions are given on what to do.
  3. If there is no contact within four days, you can also inquire from your own health centre.
