COVID-19 Vaccinations in Kymenlaakso

Getting the COVID-19 vaccine is voluntary and free of charge in Finland, and it is offered to everyone over the age of 5. COVID-19 vaccines provide protection against the severe form of the disease.

Walk in -vaccinations

In Kymenlaakso, on certain days, you can arrive for COVID-19 vaccination without an appointment. On this page you can find the dates and additional information for the upcoming walk-in vaccination days (in Finnish).

Booking an appointment

Appointments are currently available to persons 5 years of age and older. An appointment can be booked either through the electronic appointment service or by phone. Persons under 16 years of age can book their vaccination appointment only by phone.

Electronic appointment booking

Electronic appointment booking runs 24/7. It requires an electronic identification of the person to be vaccinated, for example, with personal online banking IDs.

Vaccination sites

There are COVID-19 vaccination sites in Kouvola, Kotka, Hamina, Virolahti and Pyhtää. You can choose the vaccination site you prefer, regardless of where you live. The only exception is the Pyhtää vaccination site, which only serves Pyhtää residents and those who have chosen the Pyhtää health centre.

When coming for your vaccination

When arriving for your vaccination, follow given instructions.

The COVID-19 vaccination includes booster shots.

Only come for your vaccination if you are healthy and avoid waiting at the vaccination site.

A person arriving for vaccination may, if necessary, be accompanied by a maximum of one escort in order to avoid traffic at the vaccination site.

Wear a mask.

Sanitise your hands when you arrive and when you leave.

Keep a safe distance from others.

Take your Kela card with you and take it out while waiting for your turn.

Wear clothing that allows the upper arm to be easily exposed.

The suitable vaccine will be confirmed at the vaccination point.
